Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men...?

The Shadow knows!

;-)
I had to google the phrase to get it.

I'm old enough to remember the radio show. When I was a kid we would often spend summers on the family farm(s) in Iowa. I used to stay with my Aunt Mabel and Uncle Bob near Gilmore City. They rented a farm from one of my Granparent's neighbors. They didn't have a TV, or indoor plumbing, but they did have a radio. :)

The complete Shadow radio plays are available on DVD.

I like to put one on every once in a while.

I spent summers on my grandparents' farm, FJ. As fun as they were, they would've been better without a TV. :-)

I'll skip the outdoor plumbing, though.

I'll never forget the time my cousin was chasing me through the orchard (we were mortal enemies at the time), and I had to jump over the electric cattle wire to escape from him. I grabbed the wire, and it was LIVE!

Ducky,
how are you lately? Is it miserably hot in Boston?
I'm about ready for Fall, myself.

Actually been a very pleasant summer, Jen.

Occasionally in the high 80's but so far few days of wicked humidity.

Last several days have been bone dry in the mid 70's. Perfect.

The grand niece is enjoying day camp this year

Once in a great while, I manage to take a photograph with some provocative shadows. Always a lucky shot for me because I can never play how the shadows will turn out in the photograph.

Sounds lovely, Duck! Glad you're having a good summer. We had record rainfall in May and June, but now we're seeing Temps in the 100's.

AoW, the shadows in the top photo were nowhere near that dark. That instant film is quirky.
