Nightstands VII

This project was fun, and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of participation. I really do have a good group of friends and co-workers. If I could change one thing, I would take the photos myself. Still, this was a great experience and has inspired me to keep going!

“Judging others makes us blind, whereas love is illuminating. By judging others we blind ourselves to our own evil and to the grace which others are just as entitled to as we are.” - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Nightstand III

Project Nightstand continues!

As I explained the idea to my friends it became clearer to me.

Each nightstand is portrait of the owner.

I think it's beautiful, cluttered or clear.

Nightstands I

Nightstands II

A person's night stand  or bedside table is a portrait of themselves. I am fascinated with the objects we keep on these small, personal spaces and what our night stands say about us.

P.s. Mine is wonderfully cluttered, and I love it!!

Anyone who reads this is invited to participate by sending me a photo of your own night stand. Leave a comment if you don't have my contact information.

I want to submit some work for a gallery show, but I don't know what will be most appealing. My photography is all over the place at this point. Which style do you think would be most successful?
I could also submit some pinhole photos....

To me, the most interesting would be the Polaroid and pinholes (top), as 'll as the light painting photos (middle).

loved it

I spent the weekend in Longview, Tx at a workshop led by Tammy Cromer-Campbell. We hacked our Holgas, and it was just what I needed.
