I found an 8x10 blade easel (for an enlarger) at a thrift shop recently. It was in the original box and was only $3! When I opened the box, I found an old envelope with at least twenty 4x5 film negatives inside. My heart started pounding! What is it about finding old negatives that is so exciting?

So, the image below is from one of the negatives. I just love it. What a precious little girl. I feel weird that I have these family photos of people I don't know. There's no name or information anywhere on the box, unfortunately.

Whoever you are...know that I will take care of your negatives. They have inspired me, and reminded me to take more candid photos of my family. I'm grateful that I came across these sweet images...

Any idea of an approximate date for that photo?

I sure don't. My best guess would be late 1940's.

I was guessing at least the early 50s. My parents took similar photos of me wearing the same kind of dress. I was born in 1952.
