I saw him walking across the square from me and I ran up to him and asked for his photo. He seemed hesitant and laughed, but then agreed. He asked me why I wanted his photo and I told him, "because you're dressed really sharp and I like it. It's rare."

Check out Humans of New York. I think you'll like it.

It's nice. But again, it seems like it's from a "private" space. I think that the eye-contact kind of makes it so.

What do you think? Is a "consensual" photo one of a "public" or a "private" space?

The fact that it's consensual doesn't make it private. The HONY photos are in public but they are more intimate in that an exchange takes place.

I like street photography in a more crowded environment.

Go to New York,’ he said, ‘I support you. Follow your dreams of becoming an actress.’ Then two months later he got his coworker pregnant.

lol. This got me. Btw, in movies they are much trendier.

I finally found that one!
Trendier in the movies? What?! Lol

I mean the NewYorkers. They are much trendier in the movies. :)

Oh of course!

P.s. did you notice the two girls holding a plastic baby Jesus and a case of beer? Awesome..

You commented on one I put up, Jen, "Portrait".

I actually had that guy come up and ask to have it taken. Not the first time that has happened.

He smiled, I showed it to him in the preview window and we both agreed it was nice shot.

Been so damn cold for the last couple weeks I haven't done much. Feel like a wimp.

My grand niece gave me "Humans of New York" for Christmas.

Her mom says she picked it out herself.

Duck, I can't imagine getting out in the cold where you are. It got into the 20's here today and that's plenty cold for me.

The portrait was a nice one. I like that he asked you to take it. It's so different here. People are much more camera shy. (or maybe....it's me. ;-)

Your grand-niece is awesome. I'd get along just fine with that little purple-haired cutie!
