daily life.

The most interesting things happen, I think, at home. Everyday someone does or says something funny, loving, or...infuriating.
I think this will be my long-term goal: to capture these moments (as much as possible), and print them.

My mom puts notes everywhere.

Life is better with a moustache.

FJ, :-)
My mom always seemed to have a camera at just the right moment. She would never consider it anything creative, but I LOVE those family photos.

Ducky,
I really like the shot of the guy sitting on the steps, holding coffee. Something very nice and direct about it.

We had a lot of photo's/slides that I loved when growing up, too. Those images of frozen time helped me build the memories which made me who I am today. In fact, in many instances, they are the only memories that I have still retained of those times.

FJ, what you said is the perfect reason that we should ALL be printing photos, presently! Kids NEED those images to help develop a sense of belonging, or...heritage? I don't know exactly how to say it, but I think it's more important than a LOT of people realize.

I mean, think of it. Who wants to grow up and look back on Mom's old facebook posts to get a glimpse of their upbringing? .... Am I being a snob?? (But then again, my mom didn't always candy-coat things. She had a twisted sense of humor and would snap a photo and the WORST moment, because she thought it was funny. I have grown to realize that she was actually hilarious, and now I do the same. :p)

Ego's, like all portraits of Daedalus, are fragile things. They need to be fastened to help keep them from running away.

I'm glad that you are helping yours develop healthier ones. :)

Seeing your son 3 times works so well.......
the dress on your girl.......the textures, her hair.

Jen, I'm really hoping we can get you on Skype for the class. Stay tuned.
