I'm a horrible blog friend these days FJ. I did want to watch the video on The Idiot, because I enjoyed reading it years ago. I suspect if I read it again it would make much more sense.
I suppose I am. All I know is that we need some major changes, and its' gotten bad enough that I'm willing to roll the dice. The US National Security State has GOT to go (ie- Ukraine/ Georgia/ Romania). Musk and Thiel may play an outsized role in it... which is the paradoxical problem/ danger.
But regardless, politics stinks.

My distaste for Musk and Thiel ally me with the far Left against the Neoliberal Left (establishment). I love RFK, Jr and Tulsi. I think their hearts are in the right place, and Tulsi will be the voice against JD Vance and Thiel/Musk. IMO, Trump has assembled a team of rivals, because he'll need someone to blame for what will seem to most to be "arbitrary and capricious" decisions.
...and so far, Trump seems to be dismantling the US Intelligence Community (ie - USAID). What he can do to defund NGOs like NED, NDI and IRI remains to be seen.
ps - The "anonymous" poster at my Farmers Letters blog who calls himself 'Q', I believe, is posting from the Ukraine Crisis Media Center (Benz video). He won't tell me anything about himself other than he's a "technologist/ computer programmer" who's in the Ukraine region (maybe Poland).
I'm so overwhelmed by what I see happening, and further grieved by the response of some of the people I love. I'm exhausted from trying to bend my mind into understanding where they are coming from and how they can enjoy the suffering of their neighbors. I don't know why I'm shocked..."Christians" have had a strong sadistic streak going back a long time.
