Maine

This is Sand Beach in Acadia NP. I could listen to the waves crash on those rocks forever.

We stayed in a family home in Camden, just a few blocks from the harbor. Sunrise was 5 am and the birds were chirping well before.

This is Laite Beach, and it's where I met Polly. She was taking a leisurely swim in the 42° water and told me that this daily habit has changed her life. I'll take her word for it

We had lobster rolls (I'm allergic so I had a hotdog) in Rockland.

Took a 2 hour ride on this boat and I've rarely felt so relaxed. Detached in the best way.

We drank good wine and ate good food. We sat on the beach and listened to the waves. We met good people and had good conversations. I bought old photos and books. It was perfect.

Looking forward to going back, hopefully to explore more inland next time.
I've always found the St. Lawrence interesting... but I suppose that's a bit further north. Maybe a cabin on some lake with a canoe and some fishing poles. I don't think I'd want to try Moose hunting... I'm not sure I'd want to try and pack one out. Deer are hard enough.

I've only ever hunted pheasant and rabbits and I hated it each time. My brother hunts deer and cleans them himself, makes stews and sausage with the meat. I like a nice garden salad. :p

It's the process that's hard to overcome. But after a few "experiments" and misadventures, one overcomes the "strangeness/ foreigness" of the process.

No one hears the vegetables screaming... ;)
