Enchanted Rock

This was one of our first stops on our epic Big Bend trip. I'd heard of Enchanted Rock but never been before. So, this is how I experienced this special place.

None that I saw. :p
We didn't stay long, though.

and in black/white. Perfect

Thanks, Z! I love them in black and white, too. I shot these in digital, and my camera was set on monochrome from the beginning.

But this place....oh my. I LOVED IT. I can't even explain it. There was such a feeling of peace. I know that sounds hippie-new-age but it's true. I can't wait to go back.

A place of respite.

Needed now more than ever for all of us.
I've become pretty good at finding them in the city.

I'm surprised that I was most taken by the wild flower shot near the bottom.

so true, Ducky. it's incredible how intense things have become...

i'm glad you're finding some peace.
i've take a couple of trips this summer, and i find it much easier to find some clarity and peace when i'm out of my element. not sure what that's about.

i'm surprised you like the flowers, too. my favorites are the birds.
i intentionally over-exposed these shots and i really like the feel it gave them. it camptures how it felt that day.
