...it was a fun (and rare) evening out.

Nope. Just a concert with some good friends. :)

P.s. I didn't know any of the ladies wearing high heels in the first photo. I just wanted a photo, but they were really mad that I snapped the shot. Heh.

Hey, if you took a picture of me from the waist down, I might be a little annoyed, too. Most people 'expect' their faces to appear in photographs.

But good for you! Ducky IS turning you from a "straight shooter" into a "street shooter". ;)

they were mad you snapped their FEET?! :-)
These are so moody, so good.........Jen, you ROCK.
The contrast, textures, light....gad.

FJ, That's funny. I'd rather NOT have my face in the photo. Hmmm.

I don't know that I'll ever have the nerve to really do "street".

Z, yes, they were fussy about it. But considering they had already been at the bar for at least an hour...I wasn't surprised. It's one of my pet peeves of going to concerts...the loud (rude) drunk people. :p I thought I was being polite by not including their faces in the photo...

It was my first time to take my camera into an event like that. I didn't have a flash, and was shooting film, so I had to think about the process more.

You aren't a real street shooter till they threaten you but you are making serious progress, Jen.

What's with the Greek chorus mask, Jen?
Jen said…
Hey Ducky.

It wasn't a chorus mask. It was a styrofoam head, like the kind you put a wig on.

It was sitting on our table (for some odd reason), so my friend picked it up and I snapped a shot.

Oh, I haven't been threatened yet, but those girls were plenty pissed (in every sense of the word). I couldn't understand it. They dressed...like that...and got mad when people noticed. :p

girls were pissed off at you for phot'ing their FEET,no faces, in perfectly fine high heels?
I'm still kind of befuddled.

FJ, that video made me cry. I loved it. Thanks. :-)

Z, I think it was the alcohol talking, more than anything else.

They weren't there for the music. :p

Funny how the "distance" stays in a street shooter's camera, but the intimacy immediately comes through in a Mom's... ;)

So true, FJ. There's very little personal meaning to these types of photos, in my life. They document an event. Family photos document the heart of life.

I so wish I could share more of my family photos with y'all on this blog.
But then again, I'm happy that I don't. :-)

Some forms of property are alienated and meant to circulate. Other forms do not. :)

...like photo's of women "below the waist". ;)
