This fellow is friends with the guy in the previous photo. He's a retired philosophy / biology teacher. (We were just around the corner from a major University.)

You've seem to have a nice "small town" vibe going on there.

A good friend of mine and I have coffee and do crosswords on Sunday mornings at a local shop. We see the same people doing same every week. It gives me a comfortable feeling. It's a lot like that.

It's nice how this neighborhood has that feel, although the actual population is over 500,000.

I love the idea of having Sunday coffee with a friend, FJ. It's good to have time set aside like that.

Happy Fourth!
I doesn't look that big from the pictures. Our local town has maybe 10k residents, and the whole county only has about 250k total.

My friend is a Vietnam era Vet, recently retired. We car-pooled together for over 20 years. I suppose we've grown on one another. He volunteers and teaches tai chi at the Perry Point Veterans Hospital now.

I suppose that we all need something to fill our days with.

20 years of carpooling? That will certainly bring you closer. I still remember some of the hilarious conversations with my carpool buddy, to and from PT school.
