Tonight I developed several rolls of 120 film that I shot in Maine in July 2019.  I honestly didn't expect to get any decent images, since I ruined the last several rolls that I tried developing. Seems like the less I expect, the better things turn out.  :0/

I hope to go back to Maine this summer.

Nothing beats the Maine coastline for scenery. I often browse Maine real estate videos on YouTube looking and dreaming...

Nice shots!. There's a lot of granite in The Granite State. :)

Oh i've not thought to look at youtube for real estate videos! I go straight to zillow or realtor.com

I just need a little two bedroom cottage right on the coast. Shouldn't be a penny more than 1.5 mil lol!

Real estate has gone crazy here in Texas, and it looks like it's happening everywhere. Mass migration out of California??? They sell their 2 bdr for $800k and come here to pay cash for a mansion! Our property taxes are becoming a problem. I can't blame them for leaving, I just hope they don't turn the state blue.

(Sorry to be a Debbie downer!)

I grew up in a 3 br, 2 ba rancher in San Jose that my parents bought for $17k in '62. I saw it on Zillow recently for $1.2m.

It's crazy...

It is absolutely crazy. Family farms are being bought up by developers like crazy around here. We talk a lot about where we would want to move if we can't stay here, and the list is short.

Back when I went away to college in'75, I'd come home for summer vacations and literally get lost in my home town of San Jose, it changed so much every year.

They say that you can't go home again. They're right.

I tried going back after graduation. I lasted 3 years. It was no longer a place that you could raise a family in any "traditional" style.

Yes, we're not quite to that point yet. I think we are headed to another social impass though. Our public schools are at a point of crisis and families are leaving in droves to homeschool. I don't know what the solution is, but I think that in Texas we will see increasing numbers of state funded charter schools... Although they are still bound to answer to the state and implement standardized testing. I personally think that homeschool communities are a much better solution.
