This video is a metaphor for all of life.

The dog's tenacity at a fruitless pursuit. (Me trying to do... Anything.)

The dog's sweater. (Social convention and norms.)

The snowman's smile. (I don't know what this represents, but it's my favorite part.)

The guy laughing. (God :-)

I honestly can't explain why, but this video makes me so happy. Deeply happy.

Welcome to the Absurd... :)
...even though the Universe is Absurd...

...we can still choose the Aesthetics of our Epistemology

ie- "The Life of pi"... given that we can never know for sure what is true, isn't it better to enjoy what is beautiful, good, and uplifting rather than dwell on what is ugly, evil, and disillusioning?

So we find our own meaning and beauty and joy... even it means to 'others' that we're seemingly trying to tip the arm from a snowman whilst hanging 3 feet in the air. As for me, I'll choose to believe that I'm recuing my Dulcinea from an evil giant.
...for I'll never know what the Big Other wants or believes. I can't see his smile or hear His laughter.

I think I experience God's smile and laughter in the most unplanned moments. And my internal status has a lot to do with it. If I'm not open to it, I'll miss the experience. It seems like I spend 90% of my time closed off lately.

The smile on the snowman is life itself! Knowing that everything works out regardless.

Been listening to "Inside" by Bo Burnham again and I'm straddling the line between hopeless meaninglessness and letting go/acceptance that life works out. I wonder what makes the difference? Is it a choice? Or a belief that there is a Higher Power that is for good? I can deal with the barrage of negative media. What gets me down is the barrage of worry when my children are suffering. Seems I can't detach so easily....
