Let the slide show commence!
I took this shot from the observation deck on the top of Rockefeller Center. This was my favorite view, second only to the view of Central Park.
This was near Times Square, which was awe-inspiring in a slightly horrifying way. It was actually HOTTER in Times Square than anywhere else we walked, and the behavior of the crowd freaked me out. We did our best to avoid Times Square for the rest of the week. p.s. Did you know that there are naked (well, they have body-paint on) women walking around Times Square? They let tourists snap a photo with them, then ask for money. Fascinating. :(
St. Patrick's Cathedral was lovely, but much of the inside was under construction.
I took this shot when we were on the Circle Line Cruise, which was well worth the time and effort. We took the last cruise of the day, and the sunset was beautiful.
I'm not sure where this was taken. Upper west side? Chelsea? I have no idea.

What didn't you like? that they were naked or that they were asking for money?
:-)
I suppose it was a combination of the two, plus much more.
Well, i am all ears. Please go on. ;)
I suppose that seeing those women naked (except for thong underwear and high heels) reinforced that the US has become completely accepting of pornography and all that it entails. They were objectifying themselves for money. I'm not a hip, "progressive" femininist. I don't see it as a forward move for those women, or society in general.
Men are, after all, only "children" when it comes to "naked women"...
ps - Did I mention that the costumed cartoon characters make me uncomfortable? It's all that "dominance-communality-reciprocity" social-situational confusion at play...
;p
Don't we already know the renumerative value of the wife / mother, FJ?
And no, I didn't see the Naked Cowboy, but my husband and son did. Ironic, eh?
I assure you, though, he's MUCH LESS naked than the women we saw.
Not that him being totally naked would even things out...
ugh. It all reminded me of Kim K for some strange reason....

This is EXACTLY what depresses me about it all.
heh. Thanks for articulating, FJ!
“Cecil Graham: What is a cynic?
Lord Darlington: A man who knows the price of everything, and the value of nothing.
Cecil Graham: And a sentimentalist, my dear Darlington, is a man who sees an absurd value in everything and doesn’t know the market price of any single thing.”

Indeed I am. Usually to my detriment!
We did see a Broadway musical while we were there!
