When my son was young, I used to sit in my car outside of the theatre on St. Paul street in Baltimore waiting for him to finish rehearsals for his latest play. The parked cars formed a kind of "overpass" for a highway for city rats, travelling from alley to alley. I kid you not, I would count 20-30 rats on a "trashy" night that would run under my car, or the cars across the street. I'm just glad that none decided to crawl into my car with me.
lol! I shot a rat in our toilet (stupid I know... since I "missed" the first arrow) in Venezuela. We had a half-bath/powder room on the first floor of our house.
I used to shoot rats in our backyard there, too. They were always going after the food at the bottom of the parrots cages.
No, I'm no fan of rats. I'd rather have armadillos.

Yes indeed!
If only they were so cute in reality...
My dog caught one the other day and brought it to me while I was having coffee on the porch. Their tails...and teeth...
That's what was so strange about the armadillo...they're usually so shy. You NEVER see one out in the open like that. Rats are more bold.
The youtube video that popped up after your link played was "how rats can easily crawl up your toilet". ::shudder::

(that would be a GREAT book title, btw...)
Man, I wish I could've seen that. :-)
